Industrialization and technology have increasingly endangered our natural habitat and wildlife; this requires new consciousness concerning the preservation of land and oceans. In my work and life, I value the beauty and serenity of nature. I feel compelled to record images and memories through painting, drawing, photography or writing. I seek to combine art forms and find new ways to integrate these media. My paintings reflect the experience of landscape and nature, rather than the actual places, and create a sense of an ideal place. My photo installations often include natural objects -dried plants, shells, stones-, but also written notes on unusual papers, to tell a story of a cherished experience. In my paintings of "earthscapes" I often play with suns reflection on water, transparency of water, the changing colors of land and sky, and the multitude of cloud formations. The aerial view serves the imagination: it often becomes secondary to the image; the painting may be viewed as "abstract landscapes".
