Internship Opportunity: Breast Cancer Research

OPPORTUNITIES IN BREAST CANCER RESEARCH
We are seeking bright, reliable undergraduate and graduate students interested in volunteer research positions. Positions are based in the Program for Cancer Prevention & Control at the Ruttenberg Cancer Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Students will work closely with physicians and be trained to recruit breast cancer patients at hospital clinics or medical offices in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Queens for a large-scale breast cancer study.

Duties include:
-Patient ascertainment and assessment of patient eligibility
-Patient recruitment and completion of informed consent
-Preliminary data collection

Experience working with diverse ethnic communities is a plus. Students may have additional opportunities to contribute to the research commensurate with experience.
