Attention Psychology Students
The 8th annual meeting of the North East Under/Graduate Research Organization for Neuroscience (N.E.U.R.O.N.) is a perfect forum for graduates and undergraduates with research in progress or completed in biological psychology or neuroscience. The meeting allows students to present their work in a 2 hour poster session, offers workshops for both students and faculty, and features a keynote address from a prominent neuroscientist. This year's speaker is Dr. Huda Akil (University of Michigan), who will give a talk entitled Searching for the Neural Basis of Mental Illness." The conference is sponsored by the New England Consortium for Undergraduate Science Education (NECUSE) and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). Student registration: $15
The conference will be held this year at Wheaton College, in Norton, MA,
on Sunday, May 2nd, from approximately 10am to 4pm. Workshops include one on ethical issues in research (for grad students), one on career options after graduation (for undergrads), and one for faculty on reading and writing journal article reviews.
