Film Production Internship
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
Type: Administrative asst./development internship; Unpaid
Hours: Min. 2 days a week, from 10am-6pm
Big Beach is a new film production company, run by the producers Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub, based in New York City. Saraf’s credits include THE AGRONOMIST, ADAPTATION, THE TRUTH ABOUT CHARLIE, ULEE’S GOLD, MANDELA, and numerous other films. Turtletaub’s credits include LAWS OF ATTRACTION. Together they produced the upcoming release EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED written and directed by Liev Schreiber and starring Elijah Wood.
All majors are welcome, but a strong interest in learning about the many facets of feature film development and/or pre-production is required. We are looking for motivated, organized students with positive attitudes who are able to work well in a busy environment. They will also need excellent communication skills. Interns will not only gain an understanding of the inner workings of a growing production company, but also have the opportunity to see the film industry business from an insider’s seat. Must have strong working knowledge of all MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and be proficient on MAC/PC.
