October 1 Deadline Reminders
STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE
Deadline to Waive: October 1
All degree students are encouraged to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan if you are not already covered by another plan. Illness and medical emergencies do arise unexpectedly. Medical services and treatments can be very expensive. If you have other insurance coverage, especially if you are an international student, we recommend that you check with your insurance carrier to determine what medical services are covered under your plan. Students who are registered are automatically enrolled in the New School University Student Health Plan unless a waiver has been submitted. The deadline to waive this plan for fall is October 1. For more information about the Student Health Insurance Plan or to waive online, please go to www.newschool.edu (click on Student Affairs then Student Health Services).
GRADUATION PETITON DEADLINE: October 1 (no fee)
Students expecting to complete their studies in December 2004 must file a Graduation Petition with the University Records Office. The university cannot confer degrees or certificates for students who have not filed a petition. Filing should be done as soon as possible; no fee will be charged to students who file by October 1.
