Ron Haviv: Frontline Eyewitness
Monday October 18, 7 pm, Parsons Auditorium

Since his graduation from NYU in 1987 Haviv has covered international news events in Panama, Haiti, Africa and the Persian Gulf. He spent nearly 10 years covering conflicts in the Balkans which led to his award winning book "Blood and Honey." He is a founding member of the
VII agency and contract photographer for Newsweek. Always a provocative speaker, Haviv is very passionate about what he does but also about how the media uses his photographs. He provokes his audience to think not just about the images but the issues that they
represent.
