HOW TO TRANSFER DV TO FILM

Screening & Lecture
Thursday, December 16 at 4:45 PM
at DU ART FILM LAB
254 West 55th Street (between 7th & 8th Avenue)

WHAT WE'LL SEE:
Actual samples projected from films shot on mini DV (such as My Architect, Tadpole, Chelsea Walls, Pinero, etc) shot on different cameras (Sony VX 2000, PD 150, Canon XL1, Panasonic DVX100), as well as tests, and High Definition video transfers. Two engineers (with encyclopedic knowledge about the subject) will talk about different video to film transfer techniques and how different video formats and cameras look in regards to film transfers-- and a great side-by-side test of same scenes shot on S16, 35mm film and HD in different lighting etc.
