Bettina Spencer, Ph.D. Student in the Graduate Faculty Psychology Department at New School University, will present her research on social class and stereotype threat. Ms. Spencer's lecture will focus on the prevalence of social class stereotyping in the media, and the ways in which stereotyping and prejudice affect the academic performance of low income students.
