News About the Core Faculty

Aleksandra Wagner, a faculty member in The New School Bachelor's Program, will serve as a discussant for "The Creation and Social Transmission of Psychoanalytic Knowledge," a paper by Arnold Richards, M.D., on Friday, May 13, at 8 pm, in Swayduck Auditorium. Dr. Richards, former editor of the Journal of American Psychoanalytic Association, elaborates on how the current conflicts within psychoanalysis, as well as the history of psychoanalytic schisms, relate to concepts such as "thought collective," "thought style," and bildung.

The event is co-sponsored by the Graduate Faculty - Department of Philosophy, and the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis. Admission is free.
