Elder & Leemaur Publishers University Writing Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to continue the development of young authors, and bring awareness of the employment opportunities in the field of writing. Two competitions are available and require a 500-word essay on one of several presented topics which the applicant can choose to write about. Amount: up to $10,000. A Better Earth Essay Contest
A Better Earth is an educational organization looking for insightful, well-reasoned essays that address one out of the three environmental case studies provided to you. Amount: $2500 first prize, $1000 second prize, and $750 third prize. Deadline: May 15, 2005. Eligibility: Students must: be full-time undergraduate or graduate students and submit an online essay of at least 600 words, but no longer than 2500. Communications Scholarship

The UJA-Federation Rose Biller/Jewish Foundation for Education of Women Scholarship Program
This joint program provides approximately $1 million in scholarships to men and women with significant financial need in the New York metropolitan area. Amount: Up to $5,000. Deadline: June 1, 2005. Eligibility: Student must: attend an undergraduate, graduate or professional school; be Jewish; be residents of either New York City or the counties of Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester; and attend school in the New York metropolitan area. Integrity Graphics Communications Scholarship Awards
This scholarship was set up to recognize the stellar work being done by college students in the areas of digital photography, graphic design, and website design. Integrity Graphic, Inc. will be awarding three top prizes in the three main categories. The top winners will each receive a $2000 scholarship that will help pay for educational costs. The top 12 submissions will be featured in their company’s 2006 calendar. Deadline: June 10, 2005.
