2005-2006 STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE - Check Your Billing Statement
All degree, diploma, DIAL/online only, visiting, mobility, Eugene Lang College and Parsons School of Design consortium, graduate certificate program, and both graduate and undergraduate programs non-matriculating students are AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED the Health Services fee and the health Insurance fee. Students at the Milano Graduate School branch campuses and Parsons Decorative Arts program in Washington, D.C., are excluded.
If you do not wish to have Student Heath Insurance, you must submit a completed online waiver form by September 30, 2005. The waiver form is available online at www.chickering.com, effective April 14, 2005. Click on “Find Your School” and enter 812804 as your Policy Number. Please note: Paper waivers will no longer be accepted, waivers must be completed online. Students who do not submit a completed online waiver form by the deadline date are responsible for payment of the health fees.
To verify if you have been charged the health fees or to verify that the online waiver form has been processed and the fee(s) removed, you MUST access your student account using Alvin Online Services http://Alvin.newschool.edu (click on Student Services, then Financial Information, then Account Summary by Term).
Health care is expensive, so before waiving, students are encouraged to review the Student Health Insurance Plan at www.chickering.com (click on “Find Your School” and enter 812804 as your Policy Number).
STUDENTS: OBTAIN AN ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION CERTIFICATE ONLINE THROUGH ALVIN
To conveniently serve the New School University students around the clock, New School University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as its agent for verification of student enrollment status. Students currently registered for the spring term can obtain an Official Enrollment Verification Certificate through ALVIN Online Services at: http://alvin.newschool.edu beginning January 18, 2005. This Enrollment Verification Certificate can be presented to health insurance agencies, housing authorities, banks, etc., when asked to provide official evidence of enrollment at New School University.
STUDENTS: ACCESS YOUR GRADES / REGISTRATION / FEES ONLINE THROUGH ALVIN
•To access Alvin go to: http://alvin.newschool.edu.
•The University does not automatically mail copies of semester grades. If you need a printed copy of grades you may request it through Alvin and your semester grades will be mailed within two weeks.
