STUDENT SERVICES ANNOUNCEMENTS:
REMINDER FOR STUDENTS COMPLETING STUDY THIS SEMESTER
Students expecting to complete their studies in December 2005 must file a Graduation Petition with the University Records Office. The university cannot confer degrees or certificates for students who have not filed a petition. Filing should be done as soon as possible; no fee will be charged to students who file by October 1. 2005-2006 STUDENT HEATH INSURANCE - CHECK YOUR BILLING STATEMENT!
All degree, diploma, DIAL/online only, visiting, mobility, Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts and Parsons The New School for Design consortium, graduate certificate program, and both graduate and undergraduate programs non-matriculating students are automatically charged the Health Services fee and the health insurance fee. Students at Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy branch campuses and Parsons The New School for Design Decorative Arts program in Washington, D.C., are excluded.
If you do not wish to have Student Heath Insurance, you must submit a completed online waiver form by September 30, 2005. The waiver form is available online at www.chickering.com, effective April 14, 2005. Click on “Find Your School” and enter 812804 as your Policy Number. Please note: Paper waivers will no longer be accepted, waivers must be completed online. Students who do not submit a completed online waiver form by the deadline date are responsible for payment of the health fees.
To verify if you have been charged the health fees or to verify that the online waiver form has been processed and the fee(s) removed, you MUST access your student account using Alvin Online Services http://Alvin.newschool.edu (click on Student Services, then Financial Information, then Account Summary by Term).
Health care is expensive, so before waiving, students are encouraged to review the Student Health Insurance Plan at www.chickering.com (click on “Find Your School” and enter 812804 as your Policy Number).
