P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center Internship

P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center Internship Program – Spring Cycle
Application deadline: December 1st (2005)
Duration: January 16th – April 28th (2006)

P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center offers hands-on internships for college students in all of its departments. Our internship program provides the opportunity to learn about the operations of a non-profit art institution and to work alongside some of the world's most exciting contemporary artists and curators. In addition, the interns are exposed to P.S.1 and contemporary art through gallery talks, lectures, visits to artists' studios and to other cultural institutions. All interns work on a volunteer basis. It is the responsibility of the applicant to retrieve information from your school concerning possible academic credit. Positions are available in Curatorial, D.A.P./Distributed Art Books, Development & Fundraising, Fiscal Planning & Accounting, Installation & Building Operations, Press & Public Relations, Programming & Production, Registrar, Visitor Services, and WPS1.org.

For full information on the P.S.1 internship Program, go to www.ps1.org . Click on “FAQs” at the left of the page and then “Internships.” You may download an application from the site.
