Chance to Win an iPod!

Participate in NSSE
(National Survey of Student Engagement)

The New School will administer National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) in Spring 2006 as a web-based survey. The information on NSSE and the link to the survey will be sent to freshmen and seniors via e-mail. This on-line survey will launch on Thursday, February 16th. Please check your GroupWise account (@newschool.edu) periodically and look for an e-mail with the subject, “The New School Wants Your Feedback.”

Participation in the survey entails entry in the iPod raffle: 1) First prize - The New iPod; 2) Second prize - iPod Nano; and 3) Third prize - iPod Shuffle. Have a chance to win an iPod by submitting the survey ASAP.

NSSE will be used at The New School and many other universities and colleges in the nation to improve college experiences of undergraduate students. NSSE is designed to obtain information from colleges and universities about student participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. Questions on the survey will ask students about how they spend their free time, what they feel they have gained from classes, and their interaction with faculty and other students. The findings from this survey will be very helpful to faculty and administrators here, as we seek to improve the educational experience of The New School students.

If you have any questions about the survey or the raffle, please contact Dr. Heather Kim, Director of Institutional Research at studentsurveys@newschool.edu.
