Television Production Internships
Location: New York City
Length:Summer Semester, 3-5 days per week
InternshipDescription:True Entertainment is looking for production interns for the Summer Semester. Our Internship Program instructs students all aspects of production: developing and pitching ideas to networks, shooting on location, to editing and creating the final story for air. Students will gain hands on experience through assisting the producers on individual shows for air, or working with True Entertainment's own development department in creating pilots. The following is a list of some of the duties interns will have at True Entertainment:
- Researching show topics and ideas through the use of periodicals, books and the internet.
- Assisting producers as they create stories in post production through logging and searching footage for scenes to be used in the shows.
- Traveling with the crew to location, assisting production on set.
- General office Duties as assigned.
Students will also have the opportunity to see how Development and Production works in an independent television production company.
True Entertainment is the largest independent television production company in New York City. Currently, there are multiple shows in production to air on several different networks. Gastineau Girls (E! Entertainment), Town Haul and A Baby Story (T.L.C.), Go Ahead, Make My Dinner! (Discovery Channel) and Rebuilt and Mystery Diagnosis (Discovery Health) are just a few of the exciting shows produced by True Entertainment.
