Michael's Show
Michael Benjamin just sent us an update on his most recent acting gig which I'm passing on to everyone. [That's MB in his classroom mode on the right.] Move quickly if you want to catch the show. Here are the details from Michael:
I'm in show. It's in Princeton. “Princeton, New Jersey?” You say? “Forget it.” Here's the info anyway.
Show: Twelfth Night, by Bill Shakespeare
Theatre Company: Princeton Rep
Dates: It started a few weeks ago, and ends 8/27. It runs Thursday through
Sunday nights at 8PM. The show lasts 2 hours 45 minutes. Cost: Free.
Here's the link to Princeton Rep.
Transportation: You can drive, which is probably simpler, or you can take the train. (See the Princeton Rep website as well for travel info.)
You want to go to Princeton (not Princeton Junction). You can cab it from there ($8) to Petoranello Gardens. (Rt. 206 and Mountain Ave, on Mountain Ave.) Make sure you get the cab company phone number so you can get a ride back to the station.
The show is OUTSIDE. Check the weather reports. You might need a jacket. If it's stormy, there is a chance the show will be stopped.
Oh, yeah, and about tickets: Seating is in an amphitheatre with some actual chairs at the top. If you want to reserve an actual seat (in a chair), you need to buy a “Bard Card,” which costs $25--otherwise it's open seating in the amphitheatre. (The actual seats are sold out Friday 8/18 and Saturday 8/26.)
You can also come early and get tickets at the theatre, which is what most people do. The park is really nice so if you want to come early and have a picnic, that is not a bad idea. The box office at the theatre opens at 6 PM, but if you get there around 7PM you should be fine.
OK, I think that's it.
Hope everyone is well.
"Hey...not so fast, Michael! What role are you playing?", says tq.
