Timeline for US Fulbright Applications

Fulbright deadlines are fast approaching so, if you haven’t already done so, now is the time to fill out the online application (http://us.fulbrightonline.org/howtoapply.html) and email a draft of your proposal to your Divisional Fulbright Representative.


TIMELINE FOR 2007-2008 US FULBRIGHT APPLICATIONS

Friday, September 29, 2006: Last day for applicants to submit drafts of proposals for comment and critique. The Office of Academic Services arranges for faculty familiar with applicants’ fields and/or target countries to serve on Campus Fulbright Committee. (Applicants should feel free to suggest faculty who know their work.)


Weeks of October 2-6, 2006 & October 9–13, 2006: Campus Fulbright Committee meetings. Applicants make 5-minute verbal presentations, followed by 15-20 minutes of Q&A.


Tuesday, October 17, 2006: Last day for applicants to submit final packet for hand-delivery to Fulbright Commission. The final packet consists of: personal essay, final revision of proposal, hard copy of online application, references and, if required, language proficiency verification.

February 2007: National Screenings results announced. If approved, applicants wait for country decision.

Spring-Summer 2007: Results from individual countries announced.
