Internship Opportunity

New York City Council Member Jessica Lappin is looking for responsible and enthusiastic (insert school name) students to intern in her office. Duties will include general office work, researching legislative issues, responding to constituent and community concerns, and attending hearings.

This internship is a great opportunity to learn more about how local government works and how public policy impacts real communities. You will also learn how to help constituents who need assistance on issues such as housing, transportation, sanitation, and quality of life concerns. The office is small, so there will be a lot of active hands-on learning.

Council Member Lappin represents Council District 5 on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and Roosevelt Island.
