A Summit for Young Social Entrepreneurs

Where: Boston College in Boston, Massachusetts
The "Social Entrepreneurship and Global Change" summit will examine how leaders today are increasingly taking a business approach to make a social impact - from helping to end poverty through microfinance to reducing the impact climate change through investments in clean energy. Over the course of the daylong summit, young leaders will hear from some of today's most prominent social entrepreneurs and talk with socially conscious peers about the future of the field.
Confirmed speakers at the summit include:
- Fernande Raine, Changeleader and Managing Director of Talent, Ashoka
- Mindy S. Lubber, President, Ceres
- Robin Ratcliffe, Special Assistant to the President, ACCION International
- Robbin Peach, Executive Director, Massachusetts Environmental Trust
- Bob Sheppard, Deputy Director and Business Program Manager, Clean Air - Cool Planet
- Sandra Waddock, Professor, Boston College, and Senior Research Fellow, Center for Corporate Community Relations
- Mark Orlowski, Founder and Executive Director, Sustainable Endowment Institute
The summit is free of charge for young leaders selected to participate, including registration and meals. Travel to the conference and lodging is at the participant’s expense, but Americans for Informed Democracy will do its best to set up car pools for participants.
