THE CITY
An evidence-based discussion list for scholars -- historians, art historians, economists, archaeologists,
and others -- whose research concerns Byzantine and post-Byzantine issues, including relationships
with the West, the Balkans, the Ottomans, Venice and the stato da mar. The group is intended to
be a community who share resources and support research, especially for members with inadequate
access to sources and libraries. Postings may be made in any language in use within the borders
of the Eastern Empire between 313 and 1453, English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, and Greek.
