From the great Lord and great Emir Sultan Mehmet to the other archons, plenipotentiaries of My Excellency:
First, the archon Kyr Sfrantzës with all his people and Kyr Manuel Raul with all his, and Kyr Sophianos with all his, and Kyr Demetri Laskaris with all his, and the Diplovatatzoi, the Kavakeoi, the Pepagoumeneoi, the Frangopouloi, and Sgouromalaioi, and Mavropapas, and the Filanthropenoi and Petro Bouas people, and to all others who want to be ruled: My Excellencys greetings. Let it be known that my honored Aga, Hasan-beyi has come here and he brought to my excellency that you want to be my people. For this he seeks the command of My Excellency and for this I send you my command. I swear to you by our great prophet Mohammed in whom we mousoulmanoi believe and by the seven mousafia, and by our 124 thousand prophets, and by the sword which I wear, and by the soul of my father chodobeidikiari, that against your possessions and your children and your heads and everything of yours I will do no harm and will leave you in peace so that you will be better off than before. My trustworthy decree is issued here just as it is written above. 26 December in Constantinople.
